Rolando The Majestic Devlog 2


In projects 7 we decided to change the videogame because it was planned for projects 6. In the beggining, Rolando was a médium which the people call him when the houses were haunted. The main character “repaired” the clonficts of the souls. Rolando just went to someone’s house trying to solve the problem that make the ghost was in the present. The puzzles were so forced and didnt make sense.

Then, we changed the game trying to make it more narrative with action. Instead of just going to the past it was changed to be a ghost in the past with some different mechanics.

Things that changed and were added:

 

  • -Use of mirrors to change the present to past.
  • -A new mechanic of possession.
  • -Removed old levels.
  • -Creation of a new level: Casino.
  • -A new enemy.
  • -Exchange the asset taken on Internet to our own assets.
  • -Added vertical stairs.
  • -Added a new layers system.
  • -New light system
  • -Added post-processing effects for lights.
  • -Added a custom pathfinding for the enemies
